Actually, after this procedure I was able to modify CPU ratio in BIOS and set it to desired 30.

Very interesting to read about that old Hardware with the SL79V Gallatin.
I installed two SL79V on an iWill DX-400SN with Windows XP (Siemens D1302 with Siemens Bios 1.08 support up to 3.2GHz CPU).
It gave me the same Microcode error on Boot up since the Bios was older than the Gallatin release date. The Error message was not skipable. After setting the Bios option Event "halt on error" to no it started with both SL79V. But in default settings it would not start for example when the Bios Battery is empty.
I want to do the modified Microcode Update posted here and install two SL79V with Windows NT 4.0 Workstation and D1302.
Is there a newer version of the modified Program? I saw there is a Checkup.exe V1.16.
Is the Microcode update going to improve System performance?
