I broken my bios very bad... I was trying to upgrade bios from 1.01 to 2.28 with the DOS method. Since by default it doesn't allow you to do that, i changed some parameters (/all and another one to skip the offset check) It flashed till the end with no errors but after restart i get the black screen.
Then i tried to do the Fn+Esc for the Crisis Boot but my power led won't blink like in the normal situations described.

Can anyone please advise me why they crisis boot isn't working? What can i try more now?

Hello,

I'm having an issue with my BIOS. The windows boot properly but the boot logo and the POST messages are gone, and been replaced by a black screen. Whenever i'm trying to access BIOS by pressing F2 the screen freezes and nothing is showing up, only the black screen and windows does not boot up. My guess is that the BIOS is corrupted and I did some reading in this forum trying to recover it, without any luck though.

I am running the latest BIOS version 2.28 Insyde

Can someone please help me recover my BIOS?

Hi
need your original Acer bios

Hello,
I don't have the .fd for the latest firmware. The 2.28 which I downloaded from acer include the following files:

VAGV228.exe
SOP.txt

The previous version (1.14) included a DOS folder with the following files:

VAGV114.fd
update.bat
flashit.exe

I have never flashed a BIOS firmware before so I will appreciate any help
