i have a m2n mobo i would like it to support the phenom x2 545
so i started out with downloading mmtool and i opened my bios i saw that i had these microcode in my bios :
[Image: get.php?token=08a9796ac284e7ca3cfcb1650dfd80b9c20f008e]

so i opened a bios from a kind of similar board with newer microcode and imported these into the original bios from my board : [Image: get.php?token=7e20ee14b18eb15b078d03ec169d89c9fb8bd18d]

saved it and flashed.
it booted ok with the old 4450e but when i change the cpu to my 545 it wont boot just sits there fans blowing

i realized i have to update the AGESA code some how but this is way out of my league

edit:
i exported the b1 block from my bios and i found some cpu names but i have no clue on how to change the agesa i assume i have to find the header and the footer and work from there but i have no clue how they look
and if its even possible this way

can someone help me in the right direction ?
Hi, I got this old Asus M2N (AM2) motherboard with nforce 430 chipset and I need support for one (or both) of the following CPU’s:

-Athlon II X4 605e AM2+ AD605EHDK42GM (preferred)
-Athlon X2 7850 Black Edition AM2 AD785ZWCJ2BGH (secondary option)

Currently both CPU’s result in a black screen (no signal).

Here is the original (AMI) BIOS: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/sock...N_0902.zip

Now for the donor BIOS I’m having a hard time. The ones that I found with this chipset and the desired CPU support are award bios. I suppose that’s not helpful, is it? Any advice how can I find a right one?

I would be super thankful if someone can help me out with this!
Post screenshots of first (CPU) & third (Mainboard) tabs of CPU-Z with supported CPU.

Which one exactly?

Asus M2NPV-VM is one of the boards that has the nforce 430 chipset and supports both of my CPU's. Looks very similar to my board except that it is micro-ATX and it has integrated graphics which my board doesn't have. And it has Award BIOS.

Have you a hardware programmer?

No, unfortunately. Is it necessary?

There is no any known solution for this motherboard. So I think that it's necessary.
Adding microcode will not help.
BTW: this motherboard has PLCC32 EEPROM (BIOS chip).
