Thanks a lot! Works great!
Dear BDMaster, may I ask you a thing?

i'm recently trying to implement eGpu on this b590 I have, but Tolud is set high there and nothing works as expected, even with dsdt hack.

The question: Is it in your possibilities to alter a Bios to free some memory for eGpu to work?
Thanks a lot

(i'm already proudly using a wifi "BDM" unlocked bios here Big Grin )
Do You mean RAM or FFS to insert Modules ?
Regards
Hmmm..
i guess it's the bios allocation memory for peripherals.. tolud set too high doesn't let the egpu to have enough resources in windows.. it's usually a bios register i guess
maybe this image can explain more

bioses that let that parametr over 3Gibs are not working with egpu at all.. it should be 2,5Gib or even less.
Seems insane Lenovo is locking newer bioses.
BTW I can assure dsdt large memory hack doesn't work well, pc just hang or tells that hw doesn't have enough resources to initialize the external video card.

Thanks a lot for any answer

The DSDT override thread explains that if you are still getting error 12 against the eGPU after doing a successful DSDT override, then acquire the Setup 1.30 software to pre-allocate your eGPU to 36/64-bit space prior to OS boot.  A successful DSDT override will show a new Large Memory area in device manager.

Dear BDMaster,
Thank you very much for supplying the modified BIOS so swiftly: I really appreciate that! As you will understand, I'm afraid to brick my laptop, so before I'm going to flash my laptop BIOS, I have a question for you: how is it possible that a backup file of my current BIOS made with the NEW_BACKUP_FPTs method differs from a backup file made with the FPT_BACKUP-BIOS method, when I use binary file compare in Windows? And is this fact of any importance for you while modding the BIOS? Thank you again for your support!
Regards,
Adrien
