Hi,

I need some help, I've had some problem with original Wifi adapter and I've purchased the Intel AC7260, I tried to upgrade my BIOS version to the latest version available from Lenovo.

I've tried to use the NEW_BACKUP_FPTs and Universal Bios Backup to extract my BIOS backup, both of them didn't worked.

FPT -> It says that the 7zip command is invalid and extracting manually I lost my keyboard.
Universal Bios Backup 2.0 -> Did not recognized my BIOS.

If anyone can help me, I'll appreciate.

Sorry for any english mistakes, my english is awful. Sad

Thanks
Ernesto.
I think I didn't made my self very clear. My first problem is extract the backup from my current BIOS, and then I need help to remove the wifi adapter white list.

*Correct Model:Lenovo G40-80

Ernesto.

I have a Lenovo G40-80 with an intel wireless dual band ac-3160 wificard.
I bought this intel wireless dual band ac-8260 wificard, but is unautorized. Do i need to remove this whitelist?
If so what is the next step? or is there a walktrough somewhere? what do i have to do to achieve this?
