I have Dell Vostro 430 motherboard with H57 Express Chipset. I have Xeon X3450 as well.
I also have Intel BTJG motherboard with Intel H55 chipset.
Xeon works on H55, but no POST from Vostro 430 motherboard.
Vostro 430 has more RAM slots and PCI/PCI Express slots, and better power delivery.

Studio XPS 8100 motherboard is $75 to $115 USD
Vostro 430 motherboard is only $25USD

Well, just a question, X3450 SHOULD work on H57 Express, right?
Also, website says H57 Express but this CPU-Z screenshot says P55. Could motherboard just be broken?

Dell Vostro 430 uses different revisions of motherboards with different chipsets.
