Greetings.
The latest BIOS upgrade for this motherboard is from 2010/11/30, version 3.40, you can find it here http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/BIOS...40)ROM.zip or here ftp://asrock.cn/BIOS/1366/X58%20SuperCom...40)ROM.zip (both instant flash version).
I want to update cpu microcode for spectre protection, also I need to upgrade the vt-d for fixing the compatibility issue with Windows 10 1803 x64 that won't boot if vt-d is on.
I read around (here, latest reply of the first page: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wind...6165636528) that the Asus Sabertooth X58 BIOS 1402 has "Improve VT-d compatibility issue", so I wanted to transfer this fix, since they have the same chipset.
The Asus Sabertooth X58 BIOS 1402 is here: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LG...1533356437
At least let me know how to do that, thank you!
Make and attach TXT-report of CPU-Z.
And post a screenshot of regedit with expanded key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor\0

Ok.
Is it ok to get the key from Windows 7 x64? Or should I get it from Windows 10 1803 64bit?
Well, anyway, here they are, got it from Windows 7 x64 sp1
Disable VT-d in BIOS, install Windows 10 1803, update it to actual state (Windows Update).
Make screenshot of winver.exe
Install KB4346084
Make new screenshot of regedit with expanded key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor\0
Make screenshot of InSpectre
Enable VT-d in BIOS and try too boot.
That KB says that's impossible to install.
Here the global screenshot.

Wait for some time and try to run it (multiple times) with administrative rights.
There's no way I can run it with administrative rights.
I even tried to disable UAC (and I mean REALLY disable, with the registry tweak HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System "EnableLUA" set to 0), still to no avail.
Enable VT-d in BIOS and try too boot.

It doesn't work.

BTW I guess that I can't install that update since my CPU isn't included in the list of that microcode:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help...de-updates
My CPU is Nehalem microarchitecture, core Bloomfield: Intel Core i7 920.
http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Core_i7/In...1920).html

Besides, I guess that it won't fix the vt-d issue even if it was included.

So please help me with my original request, at least to include the vt-d fix into the ASRock motherboard bios.
