Bios Mods -The Best BIOS Update and Modification Source

Good day!

I have the All-In-One Acer Veriton Z4620G with G550 CPU installed. I want to upgrade it to i5-2500 (CPU ID 06A7 Rev 2D). When i installed it to motherboard and power on AIO, i received the system error "Unsupprorted CPU Installed. PC will automatically power down in a few second".

I tried add CPU microcode to BIOS file via MMTool, but this was not successful, the error still appears.

Apparently, in the BIOS there is a test for the use of certain processors models.

Updt. I found BIOS A1 version, but after flashing it the error still exist. I uploaded A1 version to disk, the link is same.

Here is stock G550 CPU.





I have another processor, G620 (Pentium 2.6GHz), and this CPU perfectly works with this platform,  too.

Try to flash my mod.

Pal, please, tell me how do you did it?! It was TDP issue?

I'm not a tutor. Yes, TDP limit was 65W.
