Hi
Your bios is rewrite protected
Bios mod can be flashed using SPI-programmer+SOIC8 clip only
Hello guys!
I would like to change my WiFi + Bluetooth card to something else and can't because of the whitelists that Lenovo puts on their laptops.
I have already bought myself a CH341a SPI Programmer and have read my BIOS from the Winbound chip to a file.
Could someone please help me by:
1.) Removing the whitelist
2.) Unlocking the advanced BIOS menu
Details of Laptop:
Lenovo T440
BIOS CHIP: Winbound W25Q128.V (as read by flashrom)
Link to BIOS:
https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/de/en/downloads/ds035967
I would be really grateful if anyone could help me with it. I am of course willing to donate something through Paypal
.
Thanks in advance!

Hello there,
I am sorry if this in the wrong section since my laptop has no details of the BIOS name (Insyde etc)
I would like to have the settings for my BIOS unlocked so i can change any security settings, for now I can't because of Supervisor password...
Here is the details i manged to find on the main section of my BIOS:
System Unit Serial Number: PF01XH1P
System Board Serial Number: L1HF44H001P
UEFI BIOS Version: GJETA1WW (2.51)
Embedded Controller Version: GJHT29WW(1.13)
Machine Type Model: 20B60065PB
ME Firmware Version 9.5.60.1952
Link to the BIOS from Lenovo website:
https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds035965
I'm guessing I'll have to use the programmer and read the security EEPROM?
I have already located the chip.
Thank you for advice.
