Can someone please unlock the advanced menu options of the linked (https://www.mediafire.com/file/w8mvf3gd8...70.fd/file) bios fd file and convert it to the filetype needed for reflashing (not 100% sure what filetype this would be, the computer is a Toshiba C655-S5082 laptop)? Thanks!
I also found a second fd file in the archive but this was was named with all caps (including the file extension) instead of lowercase. Is this one different? If so please convert the proper one to a rom. Heres the link to the second file: http://www.mediafire.com/file/48gdeq3io2...29.FD/file
Link to actual BIOS EXE from Toshiba and I will look. What does "Reflashing" mean to you? How are you planning to flash?
Here's the link to the bios: https://www.mediafire.com/file/riv8br6zi...0.exe/file. What's the best way to flash/install a modded bios that is the same version as the non modded version currently installed? Let me know what other info you need.
Please post a link or DM me the edited installer once it's done! Thanks!
Flash old version in first if you can. Otherwise extract the os2011331a_170.exe and edit platform.ini
[Bios_Version_Check]
flag=1
;This flag is the switch of checking Bios Version. When flag is 1, utility will
;check Bios Version. If rom file Version is older than Bios, utility will display warnning
;message and close application. When flag is 0, utility won't check rom file version.

.fd is .bin, if you needed a bin for some flash software
MU10M170.FD is your BIOS file, can be renamed to MU10M170.BIN if you need

The BIOS file MU10M170.FD inside the exe, inside the Insyde extracted exe is the same as the MU10M170.FD inside the iso that's inside the exe
ToshibaBIOS.IMG is a complete BIOS as well, but contains an additional BIOS volume, and 11MB of padding. Either is OK to flash with after extracting, for recovery I would try to find a dump to compare before doing anything

If you want to modify your BIOS, it's best to use a BIOS dump instead. First, try this program, don't worry it will freeze while working and you can't move it or use desktop

Then second, check with HWInfo64 to see what ME Firmware you have (can also check BIOS Main page possibly). In HWINfo64, large window, on left go to motherboard, expand and see if you see ME section, if yes get ME FW version and with this info I will help you get a different backup
https://www.hwinfo.com/download/
I’ll do the dump and ME version check and post it.
There was no ME section/version. Here is a link to the bios dump: http://www.mediafire.com/file/hm81cgdzp6...0.rom/file
Other than the fd files, exe installer, Rom, and ME version (which is none), what else do you need from me to mod?
This board may not have ME, only wanted to check because if it did that's easier to reflash mod BIOS with certain tools.
