Thanks for all
Hi everyone,

Looking to increase the amount of dedicated video memory on my Dell Inspiron 5575 laptop. It has a Ryzen 5 2500u APU which is great, but is currently locked to 256mb video memory which makes even light gaming impossible. I currently have 16gb of memory (DDR4 2400 CL14) installed on my notebook so i'm not lacking in that department. I would like to increase it to either 1gb or 2gb if possible. My friends Asus notebook which has a similar APU (3500u) has 2gb and it seems to work much better when it comes to gaming.

I've attempted to troubleshoot this issue with dell and was told to basically go away because they have no incentive change these settings.

I've been attempting to change the values with both H20EZE and HxD hex editor but have pretty much run up against a wall.

Bios dump is the most current 1.3.3 on the dell website and the Insyde ver is 5.3

If anyone could help point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.
I have dell 5575, and i really work to try to edit the bios, but the original bios file is signed, any modification as change file sha256, and bios report when i try to install : ''invalid firmware image''. On the internet i found other user fix this problem with HxD tool. But me.... i am fail. On this link we can download:
- Dell original bios file
-(Dell original bios file) edited for allow 2gb of VRAM
-Bios on-windows backup and edited version for 2gb of VRAM.
----- The AMD CBS menu help to edit Gfx configuration and change VRAM option; but ....

Sorry to necro this but i was wondering has anyone modded this Bios? i would love to be able to use more than 256mb of VRAM. Which is just silly for them to cripple this laptop like that, i guess thay wanted you buy a better laptop.

You do not have special equipment, the SPI programmer, for this.
I do see Forces mode of Integrated Graphics Controller setting in your bios, so we can try to allocate more memory if you want. Event without installing a BIOS mod.

It's not time yet.
I need your variables backup. Run "GET VARS.bat" from this archive and share the output file "vars.txt".

Now download this archive, unpack its contents and run "SET VARS.bat". If after rebooting your device the allocated memory has not changed, everything was in vain and there is no point in modifying the BIOS.
