Hi All,

Can you help me in unlocking the BIOS for my laptop?

I have never messed with BIOS upgrades, so this will be my first. Any guides and/or guide lines will be appreciated.

I have no idea what information, or files, you need for this, so I apologize in advance for the inconvenience.

If anything more is needed, let me know.

EDIT 1:

When trying to save the BIOS to the USB flash I am getting that the BIOS is write protected.
I am using this: AFUDOS.exe (V4.12)

EDIT 2:
I think that I should use Aptio specific tool for that, but I am unable to find anything.

I still haven't found a solution as of now.

What about you?

I dont have a solution but I stopped looking because I now have an i7 in This Laptop and its working fine

Mind telling what was the price of the i7? And was it hard changing the processor?

i paid about 70€ and it wasnt really hard to change the cpu

I am currently working on unlocking my bios, but i have some kind of problem. I used this guide: https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-G...EFI-Aptio4 and it seems to be working partly. I can modify the BIOS and i am able to lock it down even further, but i can't get any new functionality to show. Can someone help me?
I added the bios which i got using afuwingui.exe and tried to unlock using amibcp4.53

Maybe I shoud add this: my Main goal is to unlock the IGPU and the voltage control for the normal GPU.
