Hello,
Could i please have some help with bios modding on a hp compaq elite 8100. Im not sure where to start because 1) im new here 2) I have found nothing on google about the computer and bios mods.
The pc has a i3 530, 4x2gb 1333mhz samsung ram and a amd radeon 8490.

I would provide more info if i knew what was needed. Im not afraid of bricking the motherboard because they are only $20

Ran BIOS Backup ToolKit v2.0 and dumped the .rom file, i have also extracted the .bin bios from hp.
The confusing bit is that the bios backup tool says that the type os "Others BIOS /ACPI 1.0" while bios info tool v1.4 says that the bios is made by Compaq computer corp.
I have also dumped a rom file from a different pc and bit says that the bios is by American Megatrends.
Hope that this helps a bit.
