Hello, I upgraded my old laptop CPU from i3 380M to i7 640M and Turbo Boost does not working. I have no option in BIOS for enabling it. Can someone mod my BIOS and unlock this option?

It's Packard Bell Easynote TK85
Photo of BIOS (in the top right corner is V3.5, it's not visible on photo...)

BIOS version is V1.30, here is the link for Packard Bell site: http://global-download.packardbell.com/GDFiles/BIOS/BIOS/BIOS_PackardBell_1.30_A_A.zip?acerid=634883880282257449&Step1=NOTEBOOK&Step2=EASYNOTE&Step3=EN%20TK85&OS=ALL&LC=cs&BC=PACKARD%20BELL&SC=EMEA_7P

Can someone help me with this? I know there is a lot of modded bioses, but they are older versions (and I don't know if I can flash older version) or there is no info what was unlocked... I don't want to brick it, because it's my car diagnostic laptop with very expensive diagnostic program.

Thanks for help!
Do Load Defaults, save and reboot.
Make screenshot of HWMonitor with full CPU load.

Well, it works! Smile

CPU is now boosting to 3.2GHz/full load and 3.46GHz/single core load.
But my RAM speed goes down. From 1333MHz to 1066MHz. I tried to load defaults again and still 1066MHz. RAMs are Samsung Dual-Rank 2x4GB 1333MHz CL9.
HWMonitor is probably broken. It shows only idle clocks even when CPU is loaded with Cinebench R20. Tried CPU-Z and it shows right clocks even under CPU load.
Cinebench confirmed higher clocks with higher score, so it's really boosting. From 450 to 520 points in Multi Thread test.

Is there some way to increase RAM speed? Again, no option in BIOS...
This CPU supports RAM speed 1066 Mhz maximum.

You're right. My mistake. I tought RAM speed was 1333MHz with i3 380M, but i3 has only 1066MHz memory speed too.

So, this thread is done. Thanks for your help. Smile
