Hi all,

I am having a hard time modifying my bios for the Pegatron IPMEL-AE Rev. 1.02 MoBo... I want to use a Q9550, which is compatible according to the manufacturer website. I put the new Q9550 in, but no POST. I suspect the microcodes are to blame. The new microcodes are updated as late as 2015 I believe for 10677 and 1067A codes. If anyone could help me modifying the BIOS, it would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know what I need to provide... Thanks all.
Post screenshots of first (CPU) & third (Mainboard) tabs of CPU-Z with supported CPU.
Can you test your Q9550 on other system?

I can't test the Q9550 on another system. The project system is the only LGA 775 board I have. I have two Q9550 variants physically available: SLAWQ (C1 Stepping) and SLB8V (Updated E0 Stepping). I know that the microcode changed from 10677 to 1067A when the stepping was updated. I would like to use the SLB8V variant if possible, but either will do at this point. I have the two variants as I presumed the first one I obtained was DOA. I thought I was able to modify the BIOS microcodes properly, but I was still getting a one short, one long beep code. The code indicates a memory error via the manufacturer. I am using known-good RAM and have also tested with only one module in the nearest bank to the CPU. Nothing has worked. Here are the requested screenshots. CPU posted with screenshots is the CPU that came with the board, the only way I am able to boot at this point, even to get to BIOS or DOS. Thank you.

Current BIOS already has suitable microcode for Q9550 with all steppings.
I think you have dead CPU.

So both my CPU's were DOA?? Neither POST when the PC is powered on. There are updated microcodes for both CPUID's, I just thought that would be the issue... Any other possibilities?
Is it possible that the other components I have in the PC are stopping the system from POSTing? I have a EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze PSU, EVGA GTX 660, and a WD Blue 500GB SSD. The 20+4 ATX connector is connected and only one of the two CPU power plugs is connected, as the board only accepts one plug. Let me know if any of this would stop the PC from booting. Thanks
Q9550 has three steppings:
SLAN4: C0 with CPUID=10676
SLAWQ: C1 with CPUID=10677
SLB8V: E0 with CPUID=1067A
Native BIOS has support for all these variants.

Just swapped both SLAWQ and SLB8V into the board and neither boot... Any other possible solutions?
You need checked on other system CPU.
