Hi Everyone,
This is for an Acer Helios 500 with i9-8950hk, hm370, insyde 1.16 bios version. Want to unlock the advanced settings.
I managed to get a dump using h20fft-x64 by running -g option in a winpe environment. Please correct me if I'm wrong and make a suggestion:
1. Is this the real ROM that I need to be modded?... checked with uefitool and it looks like...
2. A kind person did mod that ROM and I want to put it back with spi programmer; I renamed the rom to fd and ran the utility but it gives me an error: "It only supports to flash secure BIOS on current platform. The image to be updated is not a secure BIOS".
Do I need to add/modify somehow the modded one to become a valid .fd?
Is this a problem of signing?...can I use another utility than h2offt to force the write?
3. Can I do a blind flash using the modded one?...how, by Fn+Esc or Alt+Esc…? I know I have to put it onto an usb with fat32 but will it work?...what will happen?
