Bios Mods -The Best BIOS Update and Modification Source

Helllo, first time posting on this forum.

I get an error: "Device media is write-protected" when trying to create a DOS start up disk, while trying to follow the BIOS Update instructions.

The problem occurs with any usb drive I have. I also checked Diskpart from cmd that shows nothing is write protected. So I'm thinking its a problem with the tool on Windows 10?

Is there an alternative to the HP usb tool?

Could I create a bootable CD to update bios instead?

Try to use Rufus.
