Hello,

I have a Asus N53SV laptop in which I try to install a i7-3610QE SR0NP, according to the intel website the HM65 chipset should support it.
I already updated the microcodes but when I install the CPU in the laptop it powers on but the display stays off.
Could anyone please have a look at this?

Your laptop hasn't support for Ivy Bridge.
Adding microcode doesn't add support for new CPU.

And there is no way of adding it?
The chipset should support it.
One way - write your own BIOS.
I see.
I'm up for a challenge, anyone here on the forum who could help me with that?
