Hi! I'm having the same problem, T480s which supports WWAN L830 but I still have one spare L831 from a previous generation T470.
Is there any way to make it work with a bios / WWAN ID mod?
Thanks

Similar problem here. I have a Sierra EM7455 WAN Card (4XC0L59128 ) but it seems my version is not whitelisted.
I get an Error:
1802: Unauthorized network card is plugged in - Power off and remove the network card (1199/9078) .
System is halted

Hello, I see I am not the only one with that problem, I'm trying to find a solution for weeks now.
The only difference is, I did exactly what Lenovo says.
I have a Thinkpad T480s and added one of the according to Lenovo two compatible WWAN cards, the Fibocom L850-GL.
Error message : 1802 unauthorized network card is plugged in - power off and remove the network card (8086/7360/103C/8337) . System is halted
Despite garantee, Lenovo is sorry they cannot help.
My BIOS_VERSION: N22ET59W (1.36 )
I am on Linux Mint. Tricia 19.3
Could anyone tell me what to do, how (as a not very experienced user) I can "whitelist or update or flash Bios w/o crazyness?
Thank you!
