I was just gifted with an HP Elitebook 755 g4 laptop with an AMD A-12 (12 core 4c - 8g) APU from a recently retired relative. The problem is the HP BIOS P81 ver .01.32 is Business oriented and won't connect to my VPN or recognize certain browser extensions or applications that a consumer oriented BIOS would routinely recognized.
Would a Hex Editor allow me to change the business BIOS value (change a 0 to a 1 or vice versa) to a personal/consumer BIOS -or- would I have to flash a completely modded BIOS to the chip?
