Hi.

I was trying to get a wifi 6 card in my Panasonic CF-D1, but it seems there is a whitelist. Also it seems this model have a "custom" UEFI so updates from Panasonic cannot be done.

Ended up doing it myself and learning a lot in the process. Dumped the flash IC after removing it from the board. Used UEFITool_NE_A58_win32 to locate where the whitelist was. There were only two cards in there, both (Centrino Advanced-N 6235 and Centrino Advanced-N 6235 AGN). UEFITool_NE_A58_win32 didn't work well with this UEFI and MMTool 4.50.0.23 didn't liked the modded files (later I learnt it was because a checksum). Phoenix Tool was useful to extract and reinsert the modules.

Flashed the modded UEFI and still couldn't get the card recognized. After some fiddling, found that the second mPCIe might be the issue, the USB part works but for some reason the mPCIe doesn't. Got it attached to the first slot and now it shows on Windows correctly.

Now I am having a go at inserting the latest microcode update, just for the sake of it.
