Hi,

I assume I must post my request here. I've recently bought an old Pentium E5800 socket 755 for my MSI P4M890M mobo.
The CPU is recognised in the AMI Bios, but is downclocked at 1.2GHz (multiplicator stuck at 6 instead of 16, FSB at 200MHz).
I've tried with different OSes (W10 and some Linux distros), so I'm certain that this is a BIOS limitation because the CPU isn't officially supported.

The BIOS can be found here : https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/...#down-bios

I hope this isn't the wrong section and that you can help me...

Thanks (I've attached my report)
Download RWEverything. Try portable version.
Go to Access->Command and run the commands:
wrmsr 0x199 0x0 0x1025
rdmsr 0x198
Show a screenshot of results.
Then go to ThrottleStop's folder and delete file ThrottleStop.ini and run ThrottleStop.
Make a screenshot of ThrottleStop (main window) with running TS Bench.
Wow, well thanks for the fast reply Smile
There wasn't any ThrottleStop folder, so I downloaded it (had already tried to stop throttle but I know too little about it).
Thanks I'll try and reply here if it worked !
OK. Make new TXT-report of CPU-Z after flashing modded BIOS.
Don't forget do Load Defaults!
Unfortunately, adding the microcode didn't change anything.
I did a clear CMOS and loaded the defaults.

Here is the BIOS file I flashed
