Hello i need to support a dothan core on the old i855gm board.
When i uses the Award BIOS Editor 1.0, open my BIOS dump, adding a 6d6 dothan microcode .bin file, then save it.
When next attempt to open it says that the CRC is bad. What i do wrong?

I already make a full hardware mod, system starts, and boot NO ACPI windows core. i need to ACPI support (power button -soft off etc)
Post a screenshot of third (Mainboard) tab of CPU-Z.
BTW. Never use Award BIOS Editor for modding.
Hello thisone?

Do i download the right microcode?
Make DOS USB-stick (e.g, by Rufus), download and unzip all files for the modded version of CHECKUP7 to this DOS USB-stick.
Download latest microcode, rename it to PEP.DAT and copy (with replacement) to this DOS USB-stick.
Boot from this DOS USB-stick and make a photo of the screen with results.
it does not boot with rufus's free dos..
Use old version of Rufus with MS-DOS.
Or use other method to make DOS USB-stick.
That's it says.
I reload the newone 6D8 microcode in PEP.DAT as it asks.
It need to unblock with a jumper? What you modified on your CHECKUP7 version?
