Hello sonagi,

Let's use FPT to flash this modded BIOS. Download this archive and extract it to a folder on your computer: https://www.mediafire.com/file/shkhkhgpa...6.rar/file

Open up an Administrator level command prompt. Navigate to the folder you extracted the files to using the 'cd' command (example: cd "C:\FPT"). Copy the modified BIOS image to this folder.

Now type and run "fptw.exe -f K43SV_modV1.rom -bios". Replace "K43SV_modV1.rom" with the name of the modified BIOS image ("K43SV_modV1.rom" if you didn't change it). As always, make sure your laptop battery is charged and that it is plugged into a reliable power source.

Let me know if you encounter any issues.

Hello arifr007,

With UEFI (the new type of BIOS) it is best to flash a mod made specifically on a BIOS dump from your computer because each UEFI has its own specific details, such as UUID, Serial Number, MAC addresses, etc. that are stored inside it.

Please use this utility developed by Serg008 of MDL: https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/attachme...?aid=22399

Upload the result file here and I will mod it.

Hello,

Apologies for the delays. I will perform your BIOS mod now. ETA: some time tonight.

Also, full credit goes to Serg008 of MDL/BIOS-Mods for the creation of this wonderful backup tools. Send all thanks for it to them!

Hello arifr007,

Your BIOS mod is ready! I have unlocked a hidden Chipset Menu and have potentially unlocked several sub-menus under the Advanced Menu that may have previously been hidden. Some further access level edits may be necessary (some items have several functions hiding them). Pictures of the Chipset and Advanced BIOS menus after the flash will help with this.

Let's first try FPT to flash this BIOS mod. Download this archive and extract it to a folder on your computer (for example a folder called "FPT" on the root of your C: drive): https://www.mediafire.com/file/shkhkhgpa...6.rar/file

Open up an Administrator level command prompt. Navigate to the folder you extracted the files to using the 'cd' command (example: cd "C:\FPT"). Copy the modified BIOS image to this folder.

Now type and run "fptw.exe -f K43SJ_arifr007_BIOSreg_mod.bin -bios". Replace "K43SJ_arifr007_BIOSreg_mod.bin" with the name of the modified BIOS image if you changed it. As always, make sure your laptop battery is fully charged and that it is plugged into a reliable power source while flashing.
