Bios Mods -The Best BIOS Update and Modification Source

Hello. I have DLink's DFL-1160 firewall currently running Core 2 Quad Q8200 and i got working internal pcie slot.
I have ordered dual QSFP pcie card, and as i want to increase data passtrought, i would also like to upgrade cpu.
I have ordered Xeon X5470 already modified to 755 socket.

Is it possible to modify bios to support that cpu while leaving supoprt for current cpu just in case that hw wouldnt be compatible?

After i found pinout for internal VGA i can boot anything like on regular x86_64 pc. Currently im running there opnsense.

I have usb bios flasher in case something goes wrong i think i can just flash that backup using it.

Extract AMI BIOS from your dump by any hex-editor and add suitable microcode.
