Sorry for such a question, but i really wanted to make sure if the board is kinda worthless to me... I got my hands on a Fujitsu TX 200 S5 board that apparently doesnt support xeon X56xx series, and i would like to ask you guys if it could be possible to modify the bios to support such cpus, i have 2x x5660 at home rn as well as 1600mhz ddr3 ecc reg ram, but from what ive seen, the x55xx series cpus use much slower ram, which made me think also, that the bus wouldnt even support such ram. But i really dont know, im an amateur.
Thanks a lot for any kind of help! Big Grin
idk if i can post a link, but the board description is here: (https://www.fujitsu.com/ar/Images/ds-py-tx200-s5.pdf)
edit: i have 0.9V at cpu vrms when x5660 inserted and i think i also had 1.57V on ram, idk if that helps with anything, just informing though, i also have E5504 but i couldnt test it since i dont have a good ram, so the board just kept beeping...
edit2: grammar
Post a screenshot with Mainboard tab of CPU-Z.
Explain exactly what happens when you try to boot with your X5660.
Will do once i get to my workshop, i will try to update asap, but im currently having a lot of schoolwork, im sorry. I will try to get the compatible ram and boot normally with the E5504 and then describe the situation with X5660 and the 1600mhz ram i have.
Thanks for interest so far. Appreciate it!
