Acer appear to have actually released an official BIOS update adding in Ivy Bridge CPU Support.

My apologies, that's new information for me - I just thought that it was Acers way of naming new "major" BIOS versions - Didn't realise until I read that link that they were incompatible with each other. That's good to know.
I will see what I can do for you - I have had a long time away from modding and am only just re-learning some of it
