Hello,

i would like to upgrade my CPU on 2x TOSHIBA QOSMIO G50 and bought 2 but there are not fully supported (multiplier is not OK).
Original CPU are P8400 (2.26GHz) or P7450 (2.13GHz)
P9500 works but multiplier is not OK : 1600MHz instead of 2533MHz (i tried to disabled auto adjust throttle in bios but 1600MHz stay the max).
P8700 : same as P9500, multiplier is not OK

I would like to install only 25W TDP CPU, so no T9600 / T9400 (35W TDP)

Extract of service manual :
Microprocessor
The QOSMIO G50 computer is equipped with an IntelĀ® CoreTM 2 Duo Processor.
These processors incorporate a math co-processor, a 3MB or 6MB L2 cache memory.
The PC comes in with one of the following speeds:
IntelĀ® CoreTM 2 Duo Processor (Penryn)
- T9600 (2.80GHz)
- T9400 (2.53GHz)
- P9500 (2.53GHz)
In the case of Processor which built in 6MB L2 cache memory
- P8600 (2.40GHz)
- P8400 (2.26GHz)
In the case of Processor which built in 3MB L2 cache memory
These processors operate at 1066MHz bus clock (FSB).

Wich tools can i used to try to mod the 2.30 (last) BIOS ?
It's a PM45 + ICH9M but i dont know the maker of the BIOS (nothing written on it).
Of course, my work (new bios) with your help will be shared.
It's just a shame that TOSHIBA dont support more CPUs as it must be simple (same series, just frequency is different).
List of PM45's supported CPU : https://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Intel_(ch...press.html

Thank you for reading,

Edit : I think it's a phoenix BIOS but windows version not works to only save BIOS.
CPU-Z extract a BIOS file in .TXT but what do to after that ? I try to find SMBCFG.EXE but i will requiere .BIN file and not .TXT

Install new CPU.
Then go to BIOS and do Load Defaults, save and reboot.
Make a screenshot of ThrottleStop (main window) with running TS Bench.
Thank you for your reply DeathBringer
Made it and results are weird :

Windows 7 bench says CPU result is 3.9 (5.9 with P8400). No other change.

I tried to play with the multiplier :

And the test with the original CPU P8400 :

All your screenshots don't meet my requirements.
Reread my previous post attentively.
OK sorry, C0% is too low on P9500 :

It's OK on P8400 :

On first screenshot TS bench was already stopped.

Yes, you're right, i took too more time to do the first screenshot.
So i made it again but the C0% stay at ~57% with P9500.
Here is a new one with all the windows.

Install P9500.
Boot in Wndows and make a screenshot of regedit with expanded key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor\0
