My Acer Nitro 5 (an515-43) has 8gb of ram in dual channel. However, I can only use 6gb because 2gb has been assigned as vram for the iGPU. Gaming applications max out at 5.5gb ram usage and have random frame drops because of this issue. The iGPU is at idle while my laptop switches to the inbuilt gtx1650 for gaming, meaning those 2gb are utterly wasted while the game struggles and stutters with only 6gb of ram in use.
