Hello,

I have two motherboards, where running a Pentium 4 Extreme Edition.
The P4EE has a unlocked multiplier.
In the motherboard Abit AW9D-MAX, i can select the multiplier 8x and 12x to 17x. But in my other Abit Board AA8XE, i can select the multiplier 12x to 17x.
Now my question. Is it possible to unlock the 8x multiplier on Abit AA8XE Board?
Both have Phoenix Bios.

Bios: AA8XE

Thanks
Unfortunately i cant find anything useful Sad
Hello Admin,
perhaps helps the bios of the board Abit AW9D-MAX, where it works with 8x multiplier? The Layout of these both boards is almost the same. The different is the chipset. AA8XE has 925XE and AW9D-MAX has 975X.
Here is the bios version of AW9D-MAX:
AW9D-MAX

But anyway thanks for your help and efforts.

Best regards
Hello,

I've found, that the Abit AA8 DuraMax board with Intel 925X chipset can set the 8x multiplier on P4EE. This board was only for FSB 800. In the latest bios, they have updated to FSB 1066 and also the same functions like AA8XE. The AA8XE has also the same chipset and layout. Is it possible to take the multiplier management from AA8 DuraMax to AA8XE?

Here the bios:
Abit AA8 DuraMax
AA8XE

Thanks :-)
