[align=justify] hello good day. i have a weird oem laptop with a pentium 4 2.53 ghz northwood cpu.
the laptop was sold with max a 2.8 ghz cpu.
if possible. i want microcode update for my bios to support 3.06 ghz northwood with HT support. likely because of the HT it would not post..
attached i have 2 files. one is a bios extracted directly from a dos program. and one is directly from a archive with a official bios update. not sure if theyre the same or compatible..
the official bios came in 2 versions. 64 and 32 mb. not sure why..
bios vendor is amibios
bios chip is
https://www.digchip.com/datasheets/parts...9F040A.php
the system model is gericom WebgineForce-351S1
cpu I want to install is pentium 4 SL77P
if any more info is needed just ask!
thank you in advance!
here attached ks a datasheet for the laptop too incase its of help^^[

Post a screenshot with Mainboard tab of CPU-Z.
And post a screenshot of GPU-Z.
Attach full archive with a official bios update.
hello.
the archive i've supplied has BOTH the 2 official bios updates and a extracted bios from the laptop itself for verification
a friend of mine noticed the 2 official bios updates are both 2 months newer than my current bios. however i dont know if i need a 32 or 64 mb version.
i am suspecting i need the 32mb version since i have 32 mb vram. (that's the only thing that would make sense)
as uniflash (along with datasheet of bios chip) says it's a 8x64k (512k) in size chip.
i am currently unable to use gpu-z due to it just not detecting the nvidia gpu. (it's a 420 go with 32mb vram. but gpu works fine)
but the current installed cpu is a pentium 4 SL6DW. (it might be dying though since i've used it for testing pin modding the voltage)
I realized the cpu i have here (the 3ghz mentioned in original post) is a pentium 4 mobile cpu which wil not work on this board without serious modifications
the cpu i need are one of the following chips - (SL6JJ, SL6K7, SL6S5, SL6SM) (QW853, QWF5, SL6PG, SL6QC)
which is the same 3.06 GHZ HT cpu but for desktop. would that one work/does the updated bios have the microcode already inside?
sadly i cannot boot into normal mode currently since it freezes on windows xp startup without safe mode (risk of overclocking haha)
anyhow this is what i got. i hope it wil help. it does boot dos and stuff perfectly fine
No requested information - no help.

i already attached the a zip file's with The only 2 official! BIOS update.
32/64mb is official. from same release date.
there is no official website. it's gone since 2005..
i got these from a third party driver website and it's the only official bios update mirror available
i wil attach the ARCHIVE! with BIOS files again on this reply.

This is not full(!) archive.
You can download it -
https://www.elhvb.com/mobokive/edwin/lap...S/BIOS.zip
Look inside it:
2. Check what grafic card you have in your machine.
For 32MB-version use Bios-file 351G_B.107
For 64MB-version use Bios-file 351G_BX.107
Copy f82737.exe on this diskette and the proper Bios-file.
Boot from Floppy, which guides you to MS-DOS prompt.
