Hi to all,
I tried the modded BIOS posted here and it's not working with the intel 6200. I followed the instructions and installed the BIOS. The card is recognized and the driver is installed, but it's not detecting any signal.
Would you please help me? Some questions for start.
-Does the BIOS created by camiloml has the same name as the original? In its description in the downloading page it says "Len_IP_S205_4BCN24WW_NWL_ByCamiloml", but in the BIOS after the install it just says "4BCN24WW". Is it correct or am I not installing the BIOS correctly?
-Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm rather experienced user and I have modded many BIOSes before, but now It's obvious that i'm doing something wrong. Help please!
that bios is working just fine on my s205.

I solved it just one hour ago, sometimes these machines drive me crazy. Zone Alarm was blocking the card. No warning, no message, nothing, it was just not allowing my card to detect a single wireless network. Shutting Zone Alarm did not help either, I had to completely uninstall it. After that, voila!
Intel is VERY strong and rather faster, the original Atheros that was included was just terrible in terms of reception, stability and speed.
Thanks for the reply!
glad you figured it out.
Hey

I have a Lenovo S-205. But the W-LAN Card broke yesterday. I buy the "INTEL Centrino Advanced-N 6230" but its blacklisted :/

Can someone help me with this?

Facts:
Lenovo S-205
Crucial M4 128GB
Bios revision: 4BCN24WW
Lenovo SN: WB01703071
UUID: 167B1760-59ED-11E0-B0F9-ABDE4498D670

Need something else?
Dont work for me. I use this file: Len_IP_S205_4BCN24WW_NWL_ByCamiloml.exe

Same problem.
I tried to use Len_IP_S205_4BCN24WW_NWL_ByCamiloml.exe as well and WinFlash crashed at the 2nd step ("Analyze old and new BIOS compatibility"). From the Windows event log:

Faulting application name: WinFlash.exe, version: 1.4.83.0, time stamp: 0x4d245123
Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000

Faulting application path: C:\LENOVOBIOS\WinFlash.exe
Faulting module path: unknown
Report Id: b84ce7ac-2a08-11e2-b926-f0def1d1698a

Can anyone help? I can provide the WINFLASH.LOG file if necessary. System is a Lenovo Ideapad S205, AMD E-450 APU 1.65GHz, 8GB RAM, 128GB Samsung 830 SSD, Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1 with all the latest updates. Could this be a simple 32/64 bit driver incompatibility? Many thanks!
