Any chance you can use that exact same BIOS file and add SLIC 1.0? I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

You are the coolest person alive! Thank you big time!
bro .. i am newbie here .. please tell me what benefits will i get updating to Asus_P5K-VM_1001_ASUS_SLIC_2.1_Dynamic.rar and the link is down.. help me
My advice is to use the dynamic bios if you are doing a complete rebuild, to include the P5K-VM motherboard. If you don't, you may not be able to boot back in to your copy of Windows on your original hard drive, no matter how legal the copy you have is. In my case, I only needed the bios installed so that I could salvage my files enough to perform an OS update to Windows 8. Being that 1001 is the most current bios for the board anyhow, it just makes sense to install it. If I'm not mistaken, the 1001 bios updates support for 45nm Intel Core 2 quad processors like the Intel Q9550S which will bring tears to your eyes with its performance. Take my word for it. This board also enables you to go as far back as a Pentium 4 661, and with a 65nm rating, it's one of the fastest and lowest temp Pentium 4 chips you will find (last one before they switched to Core). For nostalgia, it's fun to try out. That's the great thing about Asus boards in general: you get a wide range of compatibility with parts versus OEM boards. Give it a shot.

Hi, is it possible to reup this BIOS again?

Thanks a lot
As far as I can tell slic 1.0 isn't stored in the bios! you have to mod and reburn you windows cd with a dump of you're bios ident string. sorry!
best I can mod for is slic 2.0 for vista!
