help help please...
Well if you are using the version that claims it can unlock the core, my guess is that the 4th core on the CPU is possibly unstable or dead. Have to tried verifying this in any way (I haven't thought of a method myself)

I will look into it, but this simple thing could be the root of the cause, not the BIOS.

hello, thanks for your reply... my bad, i mean, i was not able to unlock the 4th core... what i did was tried in a different motherboard and yes, my cpu can be unlocked..
Foxconn have only recently re-enabled core unlocking. The p09 bios for the original a7da-s hasnt been updated for over a year, so it would contain the locked down ACC code that wont unlock extra cores.

the a7da-s is practically identical to the a7da-s 3.0 (literally the only difference is the the former is AM2+/ddr2, and the latter is AM3/ddr3). I would imagine that IF foxconn were to release a new BIOs for the original A7DA, it would include core unlocking, but it appears that the original board is no longer supported.

There are Bios versions that unlock cores on the original A7DA-s (i dont know of any specific version, perhaps yukss could provide more info here), so it sounds like exactly the same request i made of transplanting the unlockable ACC microcode from the older bios to overwrite the locked down ACC microcode in the P09 bios. As both versions of the board use the same chipset and southbridge, you might even get away with taking the ACC microcode from the p03 that i posted in my thread and sticking it into the p09 here.

I never thanked you guys for putting up with me by the way, so ... thanks :p

hello mate.. well i was wondering if someboidy here can do that for .. i do not know anything about bios modding..
hello guys, i just got this new bran beta bios, and it has a new feature called CORE RELEASER, feature that now replace the ACC option which now are not present in bios.. using this i was not able to unlocks my 4th core.. maybe the feature is there but the microcode is still locked..
I don't see how the microcode would be ap art of it. CPU microcode simply updates internal bugs or glitches by patching the BIOS in some way. If you want, we could remove all the microcode, but I reccommend a spare chip for testing that.
