I'm looking for a way to modify the bios of a Biostar TF 7050-M2 to accept a Phenom II X4 processor. The board is a socket AM2 board and the highest wattage processor listed on the official documentation is 89 watts which to me means it should be able to handle at least the 95 watt Phenom II's. I also checked and there are other motherboard manufactuers (namely Asrock) which have Nvidia 7050 based AM2 motherboards running AM3 Phenom processors on them.

The latest bios for the Biostar is here.

A couple of Asrock AM2 7050 motherboard bios' that support the AM3 Phenom II's can be found here. I included links to both the Windows and DOS bios updates as I'm not sure which is easier to work with.

I'd be very appreciative of any help or pointers you guys might have.

Thank You
I'm looking at this the best I can looking at the chiipset history. Unfortunately AsRock is known for AM3 support on legendary hardware and they all use AMI Bioses. If you can find a BIOS that's award that has the support we may have way better chances.

Thanks again,

Gigabyte has released five different Boards using the Geforce7025/630a combo and three of them recieved AM3-support, two of them, (GA-M52L-S3P (Rev. 2.0 only!) and GA-M68M-S2, even to the level of Phenom II X6. Gigabyte uses Award BIOS and the chipset should be almost identical to the 7050 apart from IGP clock and purevideo features.

@TheWiz: I'd like to hear your answer on my latest question in my request thread, too, since you were involved first.
This is a download link to one of the Gigabyte motherboards listed by the other poster. The only difference is that it uses the 7025 chipset that is virtually identical to the 7050 save for some clock speed issues. The south bridge is the same as well.

i've tried combine this 2 bios(CPU microcode and AGESA) but my mobo was dead after this. Maby i make something wrong.
I found mobo only from Gigabyte with same/similar configuration and award bios. It little sucks, because their bios is larger.
I can help(with testing).
Sorry for my english.

edit.
i make all with award bios editor, but can't get cpu microcode(CPUCODE.BIN)
should i only update AGESA code?
