Hello,

I have an older PC Dell XPS 8700. I found a bios that was modified for it on an older thread: https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...-8700-Bios

I followed the tutorial and ran the command "afudos bios.rom /P /B /N /C /E /K /Q /REBOOT"
but literally nothing happens. I tried the /o command as "afudos /oold.rom" to first do a backup of my current bios and it is telling me my bios is "write-protected" which is seemingly the reason why I cannot flash it.

Any ideas on how to turn this off? I checked my bios settings and couldn't find anything in there to disable write-protection.

See attached screenshot.

Suggestions?
Go to BIOS Setup and remove write protection or reset it to default.

I did that and there is not an option to remove write protection hence my post lol
