Hello. I have old HP DL380p gen8 server in my homelab.
I backed up chip labeled SYS_ROM from mainboard extenally.
I tried all bios moding tools i know about to find out which bios type is it (AMI/Award/Phoenix/Insyde...)
But i didnt succeed. Only tool that at least loaded my bios was uefi tool, and it showed cpu microcodes, because its not uefi bios.

It is Legacy (non-uefi) bios for Intel C600 chipset, dual-cpu.
Im looking for:
1. Identify bios type and possibly recommend modding tool that works with this bios, even if it wouldnt be able to put bios together (just for viewing)
2. Insert oprom for booting from my NVMe drive, because its legacy bios. Oprom made for my NVMe drives in attachments.
3. Extract existing oproms, ideally with some aditional info about them, what they do, and what hardware/function are they providing if possible.
4. extract all images (pictures/logos) in its original format, ideally expain file format if its not regular like PNG/JPG...
Afaik, there should be just one blue HP logo and progressbar.
5. Some aditional info about bios what you noticed, like it has integrity/signature checks or something.
6. If is possible PCIe Bifurcation by editing bios. It has 4 pcie x16 looking ports, in two rows. HP pcie riser is needed to use those ports.
I have two risers, each has 1 x16 port and 2 x8 ports. There is also 2 x16 ports version available. So i think it has riser has some pins or way to tell bios if it should bifurcate that port.
7. If its possible to port UEFI support to this bios, for example from gen9(different hardware) server bios.
8. Unlock all possible settings in bios if there are some locked if possible.

Any information or help is welcome. I understand that its not very common bios, as its for servers, not desktop, so any info would help me a lot.

Thank you so much.
Hello.
There is no extractor for this bios type. It's called HP header 1. If you're a coding genius, an attached pdf might come in handy.
