Hi all

I have an ACER Netbook 751h and was having trouble with it hanging up randomly. I read a post that suggested flashing the BIOS to the updated version. I did this, and guess what, it hung up during the BIOS flash, which has resulted in an expensive paperweight being left in place of a netbook!

I have found some info on recovering from this and have tried using win crisis and booting from a pen drive but no joy. I still just get the blank screen. The key combination of Fn & Esc works as the "on" button flashes but the led on the pen drive never flashes so it's not reading it.

Has anyone got any ideas / suggestions?

Thanks

Glenn
if the laptop has a floppy drive try using a floppy , alternatively try a CD

Hi admin

Thanks for the reply... it's a netbook so no floppy or cd. I could borrow a usb floppy, would this work?
it should do as long as the BIOS supports flashing from USB devices - it is important that you flash from a DOS environment!
