Could I please get the following BIOS updated to SLIC 2.1?

Thanks!

Request for SLIC 2.1 for MSI 975x Platinum
-Manufacturer: MSI
-Motherboard Model: 975x Platinum (ms-7246)
-Bios revision: 7.9
-Bios Type: Award BIOS
-Bios Download Link: http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloadfile&dno=8561&type=bios
Here you go , i used MSI 2.1 SLIC + Certificate Included:-

1. Copy and paste ******.XRM-MS certificate file into C-Drive.

2. After pasting this file into C-Drive, go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMPT. Right click on Command Prompt and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

3. When Command Prompt opens, type at the prompt: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\********.xrm-ms and hit the Enter Button. Wait for the Script Host to answer you with a message that the license was installed successfully....this could take a few minutes and so be patient.

4. After receiving the message that the license was installed successfully, type at the command prompt:

slmgr.vbs -ipk *****-*****-*****-*****-***** (Replace with any OEM SLP Product Key for your installed version of Windows 7 , they are not hard to find).Be Patient and wait for the message to say that the Product Key was successfully installed. After it says successfully installed, reboot the computer.

5. When you are back at your desktop, go to START - COMPUTER - right click on Computer and choose PROPERTIES and see if it is activated with an OEM product ID.

I just tried the bios mod. It updated fine and the computer still boots, but I cannot get into the bios. When I hit del to enter setup, it locks up.

I attached the original bios file to see if you could mod that one. I'll see if that works better.

Thanks for your time!

Try this one it has already been confirmed to work:

I just tried the new file...still no go.
Did you flash the Unmodified BIOS from DOS first with Awdflash ?
Use this command:
awdflash BIOSNAME.bin /cc/cd/cp/py/R (BIOS Name = Your Bios File Name)
Then Set Bios Defaults.
Then Flash the Modified Bios from DOS with Awdflash and same command,
Again, set BIOS defualts.
It has already been confirmed to work on another Forum, so I know it works.
I followed your instructions to the letter. Original bios works fine. Modded bios will boot, but I have no access to bios. The motherboard seems to be some 20th edition or something...Could that affect it? I'm at a loss as to what is happening. I am using the awfl865 software that came with the bios download...would a different version help?

Thanks for your help so far.
Yes, the MB Revision may be the issue.
Try this one:

That one worked perfectly!

Thanks!
No Problem.
Thanks for the feedback.
