Hi to all, sorry for my scholastic english but i'm italian.
I have a problem with my hp, I will change my internal wifi with a Apple Airport Wireless-N 300M Mini PCI-E Card DELL 1505 because Snow Leopard don't recognized my Intel 5100 AGN.
The bios version is ID 3603 Version F.21 (Insyde)
This is the link of the bios.

This is the information of the wifi card 5100 AGN
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4237&SUBSYS_12118086&REV_00
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4237&SUBSYS_12118086
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4237&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4237&CC_0280

And this is the information of Broadcom card
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4328&SUBSYS_0088106B&REV_03
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4328&SUBSYS_0088106B
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4328&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4328&CC_0280

Tkx for the help
1. Remove existing wireless card from laptop, leave the access cover off.
2. Boot laptop and enter boot selection screen.
3. Install new card (whilst laptop is running), no need connect antenna wires.
4. Boot into windows and new card will appear as unknown device.
5. Now you can obtain exact ven, dev & subsys id's from device properties

We need this information for both your new card and the card that is currently in the machine.

Ok tkx 1234s282 for explanation.
Next week I will have the new wifi card and I will say all the information about the Dell Card
Hi to all, today I received the new Mini PCI-E card, but hp don't start!
When I turn on my Hp I received this error " 104-Unsupported wireless network device detected . System Halted ... " then I don't obtain exact ven, dev & subsys id's. What is the solution? Tkx
Start the machine without any WLAN-device installed, keep the bay opened and insert the wlan-card when windows is completely up...
Then you can read the ID's out!
Good luck!
Tkx MrTangoWhisky for a fast answer

The Windows recognizes the Broadcom card (will appear as unknown device??) and this is the information about this mini PCI-E.

PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4328&SUBSYS_0088106B&REV_03
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4328&SUBSYS_0088106B
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4328&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4328&CC_0280
To verify these ID's you can even install the recent drivers for this card...
Without restarting the OS you should then even be able to connect to your WLAN!
