OK folks,
I KNOW some of you have some pretty badass systems out there. I want to see who thinks they have the baddest system on the block. I mean PERSONAL systems, not the one at your company or something like that. It has to be the one at your house. So let's hear what you have, pictures will help.

Who wants to start?

Diamond Jim
Oh go on then Tongue

Well, obviously... my system isn't the best out there, but I still like it a lot :p

Talk about just plain sad!

Only two people even bothered to respond even though seventy people have read the post.

Here is mine:

Dell PowerEdge 2850 Rack Mount
A pair of SL8MA Xeon Dual core 64bit HyperThreaded Processors.
(yes, that's eight threads)
8Gb Memory (can't afford the other 8Gb just yet!)
Dual 1000baseT Network ports
Running Windows Server Standard Edition 2003
OS on a 21Gb RAID1
Program Files on a 47Gb RAID1
Files on a 204Gb RAID5
All drives are SCSI 320 10,000 RPM Hot Swappable
IBM G70 15"CRT Monitor
Redundant 700W Hot Swap power supplies
Held up by an APC PowerUPS 3000 UPS

I'm still saving my pennies and dimes to upgrade the RAID5 to 3Tb and buy the PCIe backplane board so I can add a better video card.

Now,

BEAT THAT YOU LURKERS!!

Anyone looking to buy a Dell server feel free to contact me as I have several for sale.

My light bill is currently $330 USD a month, so you can keep the raid and xeons Tongue and no I don't run all these setups 24/7 or often really.

I'll add pics later, but in the mean time, I've this issue. It's an addiction. Nope not booze or paraphernalia Big Grin but odd end, somwhat unique, and somewhat rare hardware when I can fork up the funds for it without my lady beating me -_- ...
I'm a sucker for a deal Sad

Unfortunately over the past few months some of my builds have suffered me taking parts out to test one thing or another, or complete some stuff to sell for a few extra bucks. I just built my bro a better sys for Christmas out of parts I got on the low. I scored that 5050e, Asus M3A and 2gb stick of pc2-6400 this past weekend for $25. Gave him that with a 4050e instead, along with an Antec 300 tower and an extra coolmax 500 + asus dvd-rw and ultra kaze 120 for an additional $65. I think it'll last em a while. It'll be his early Christmas present ey
