I got the exact same problem
As follows:
Tried to update to the latest bios as per the acer website. (it uses WinFlash a OS based flash program.)
The process starts, backed up the original Bios. Loaded the new one but gave an error the a area of the Bios was not written and the process failed.
I continued to use the system for 2 hours looking for a better bios update.
After restarting, it posted as normal detecting the drives as per normal but during DMI data pool verification, it fails.

I've tried: removing all drives, external via USB Drives, draining all power to the bios, but to no success. I even tried hirens disk with no luck. I can't get to a drive to restore, and this bios does not have a upgrade function.

Any suggestions?! Sad
Hi Xedus,

What is the make/model of your motherboard? Have you tried clearing all the jumpers on the board, and booting without CMOS battery in?

Warm Regards,
