Hello Antinomy.
I have tested your mod, and it does not work : the option " Configure SATA as" does not appear in the BIOS menu.
Yet, I think that I know why : in 1000HE bios, this option is only visible when the option "ATA/IDE Configuration" is set to 'Enhanced' instead to 'Compatible'. On 1000H bios, "ATA/IDE Configuration" option is removed (like " Configure SATA as") and its value set to 'Compatible'.
So, if you want to make accessible AHCI mode, you have to reactivate the two options : "ATA/IDE Configuration" & " Configure SATA as".
And thank you very much for the job you done for me. I will be pleased to learn how you do that .

Oh, I've completely forgot about the ATA/IDE configuration, you're right! I'll fix it.
Here you go, the IDE/ATA configuration has been added.

Yeah ! It works perfectly ! Thank you so much Antinomy.

X25-M 80Go in AHCI Mode

Only 10% improvment in sequential read/write (the ICH7-M is limited to SATA 150), but the improvement in ramdom tread/write is huge !
Thank you again ! Now, I will continue my work on SHE frequencies mod.
If you agree, I will add your modification to teh final version of my modded BIOS and I will add credits for you (Antinomy & bios-mods.com community). What do you think about it ?

Nice idea, thank you. I must say that this is not the only available thing to unlock. I've seen memory frequency dividers and timings. Any use of these?

Yes, I can be interesting if my second SHE mod works. Indeed, I have chance that my Crucial 2Go RAM is able to reach 333Mhz (FSB 166Mhz) with the same timing (4-4-4-12) than at 266Mhz. However, with my next SHE mod, it will be interesting to be able to manage these settings.
So, If you have enougth time, I will be interesting by your proposal. Thanks again .
And here is my proposal for our 1000H mod : 3 versions, with several levels of modifications :
ASUS 1000H ACPI BIOS rev. 2204GT-01 mod by Antinomy & Tol Phobos [bios-mods.com]
=> custom OEM logo + AHCI
ASUS 1000H ACPI BIOS rev. 2204GTS-01 mod by Antinomy & Tol Phobos [bios-mods.com]
=> custom OEM logo + AHCI + improved SHE frequencies (950/1600/1786Mhz)
ASUS 1000H ACPI BIOS rev. 2204GTX-01 mod by Antinomy & Tol Phobos [bios-mods.com]
=> custom OEM logo + AHCI + increased SHE frequencies (1200/1600/2000Mhz) + RAM ratio & timings
I will release GT & GTS version this week-end , except if you have an objection.
