Hello. I am very new and very confused. I am trying to install an SSD. My bios does not have an option to enable AHCI. As best I can figure based on hous of research, I need to unlock my bios or flash a modded bios?

I have:
HP Pavillion Elite, m9400f
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&dlc=en&docname=c01535193&lc=en

Mother board is M2N68-LA (Narra3)
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&dlc=en&docname=c01357135&lc=en&product=3794737

The BIOS is Phoenix Technologies, LTD 5.14 (says AWARD in BIOS)
I believe this is the bios link.

Can someone please help me get started or point me in the right direction? Your assistance is GREATLY appreciated.
PS I have a bootable USB setup using the tutorials. I.E. Contains the MSDOS (WIN98) amd awardflash.exe on the USB Do I just need the modded .bin file to include on the USB to enable ahci?
Hello all. After 5 years of my HP computer, I have been hoping to overclock it. With a new PSU and Video Card a while back, it's age is really starting to show. HP of course locked the Bios. But since its so old I wont mind if it bricks. But the problem after searching google for hours is I am lost. My MOBO is an Asus M2N68-LA (Narra3). The processor is an AMD Phenom x3 8400. Codename Toliman. The chipset according to CPU-Z is an MCP61, also I see somewhere it's also an NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 (although that is not my graphics I use that's a GTX 650.) CPU-Z lists my Bios as Phoenix Technologies, 5.11, 4/15/2008. If anyone know's if this has been modded I will be forever grateful. Dang you HP. Angry
Hello, I'm new to this forum so if this is the wrong place I am sorry.

So recently some games have started running a little slow and I would like to fix that. my motherboard is an ASUS M2N68-LA NARRA3 and my cpu is an amd phenom 8400. I read that my cpu can be unlocked to a quad core and was wondering if my motherboard/bios were able to do that. So firstly can my mobo/bios unlock my tri core to a quad core? I know i will have to flash my bios so. Is that really risky, can it just break it or do i have to do something wrong? Assuming i can unlock to a quad core, will that improve games much at all, right now saints row 3 and dayz are the 2 games that run too slow for me. Thats all i want to know for now I think.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Hi @ all, I have a request for the guru of bios... I want unlock the BIOS of Pegatron/ASUS m2n68-la narra3.

This keyboard it's mounted on an old HP PC (dx2450), now I'm converting this old PC in a NAS (powered by FreeNAS), but for some reasons I need the complete option on the bios page (like AHCI, fan, wake up etc etc).
It's possible to obtain it?? Huh

I see on the forum an old post about the bios mod with the SLIC, thanks for this mod but for me it's useless  Undecided

So, thanks for the help.

Ciao ragazzi, sono nuovo nel forum.
Ho 2 pezzi assemblati hp.
