Bios Mods -The Best BIOS Update and Modification Source

Hi guys,

I`m doing some research and found out that I cannot use 2 OCZ vertex 2 drivers in RAID 0 without upgrading the intel matrix raid controller to version 8.5 (something higher might work but this was confirmed by the users of this forum to work)

Now the only problem is that DFI does not upgrade the bios anymore since it`s soo old.

I was hoping one of you guys could mod the following bios for me

and upgrade the intel controler from 7.6 to 8.5 so that I can use raid 0 with OCZ Vertex 2 drives.

Give this a shot. Intel Matrix RAID 8.7 for ICH9. Make sure you have the original BIOS available because the BIOS may not work with 8.7 and then RAID mode would not work at all (though you would be able to switch it back to IDE)

Thank you very much. I updated my mobo with the modified firmware you created and all seems fine. Now I`m going to buy the 2 SSD disks and see if the 8.7 version of IMC works or not. Again thank you very much for your help.
