Hi there I didn't know where to put this so I decided to post it here. Recently I bought a 1 gb kingston ddr 4200 and a ati hd 5450 as upgrades for my Acer Aspire E500.
Acer Aspire E500 specs
Pendium d 2.66 ghz
256 mb ati xpress 200(on-board)
1 gb of Nanaya ddr2 4200 ram.
ECS motherboard RC410-M2(AMI bios)http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product...16&LanID=9

The graphic card worked but I have weird issues with the ram. I should have 2 gb of ram but Windows says I have 1 gb. CPU-Z, a program that measures your memory, graphic card and processor says I have 2 gb. I thought it was just my bios not reading it. When the computer boots up and the AMI logo shows, it says 1024 mb of ram found. The biggest surprise I got now is that in my bios, there is no Memory options whats so ever. I went to update my bios from Acer and when I installed it, still the same issue. Any help would be great, but I think I may need to install modified bios and I'm completely new to this.

P.s: First post Blush
Nvm, I put a older bios version(I think) and now the bios reads the 2 gb.
