first going to start by saying don't laugh at me, this little "project is just for fun" and somewhat on principle, as well as what could potentially be a HUGE learning experience.

I have an HP TouchSmart 300-1025, not the biggest and baddest of machines by a long shot but pretty nifty all the same, I just built a new desktop that's MUCH faster but would still like to squeeze WHATEVER I can out of this thing. Problem is (as I am sure most of you know) HP's OEM Bios is quite "dumbed down" and TONS of settings are disabled. . . Makes overclocking almost impossible. . .

So what I'm asking is if anyone already has, or thinks it is possible (and has an Idea how) to REPLACE or MODIFY this bios to allow for overclocking, it has an AMD Athlon II x2 240e (which by todays standards isnt too great, but not a bad processor at all)

this is all the info I have on the board and bios so far:
everest says everything about the BIOS is unknown

AMD Overdrive gives me this:
Name:3CR0040BRT
Description:BIOS DATE 02/11/10 16:07:02 Ver: 5.10
Vendor: AMERICAN MEGATRENDS INC.
Version: 5.10
Date: 20100211

Most I know about the MoBo is:
Made by Pegatron Corp.
AMI Bios
model number: NY537AA-ABA 300-1025
bios size: 1048576
Chipset: AMD 9600 rev 0

found one REALLY SMALL image here

if you need more info I will do my best to find it.
I found this page about the PC:

and I found this page about the mainboard (APP78-CF (Jesse):

and on this page is a list of the related manuals:

I hope this helps anyone a little bit further...
