Hello!
I've tried to do a wirless card upgrade on my ASUS laptop, but the thing is the new card does not work! I have found information on the net says that a upgrade from Atheros to Intel card won't work cause of the BIOS.

I wonder if someone can please check or remove the whitelist from my laptops BIOS?

My current card is Atheros AR9285
The card I want to upgrade to is a Intel 6300

Here is a link to my BIOS

I had to upload it to RapidShare as it is not possible to give direct link from Asus.

BTW: Just got member wonderfull site you guys have here, keep the good work up!

Thanks for your time! Smile
As far as i know only HP and Lenovo laptops are concerned by Wifi whitelist

Not in my case. It seems like the BIOS are blocking my new Intel card out. It is a upgrade from Atheros to Intel. Anyone please check this? I have read cases where this was actuall, it was for a EEE netbook however...
gives the links to your sources, then i will have a look.

EDIT:

I have found some therads over at the eee.forum, they are not from '10 or '11 but the case is same.
