Hi everyone
been looking everywhere to find a way to modify my bios to overclock my CPU until i stumbled upon this awesome site, right before i was going to buy a new motherboard.

My motherboards bios won't let me tamper with the settings for Overclocking.

ASUS P5G41-M LX2/GB/LPT
with the latest bios version 0501 from ASUS site, below
http://support.asus.com/download/downloa...uage=en-us

can anyone please help me out by telling me how to modify my bios or even better modifying it for me if its not too much trouble.

Big Grin Thank You in Advance

Then why can I see all of these settings?

Did you read the manual on the board? I suggest you to do this to know how to overclock your board.
Thank you for your swift reply,
I would also like to aknowledge that i am a Noob in this area
I do not in anyway want to come on as offensive to your reply or intelligence but....

did you look into the bios (cause i used a program called AMIBCP_V3.37 which shows all settings) or did you just read a manual ,maybe from a similar motherboard, as my over-clocking settings are grayed out and there is no JumperFree Configuration sub-menu in my bios as there are in similar models….

i have read my manual and the ASUS P5G41-M LX2 series has differences with the similar P5G41-M.

Here are the Manuals below and also my bios rom.

i do not have such an option Sad
Advanced section - AI Overclocking. It's the first setting in this section, do you see it? It's set to Auto. You need to switch to Manual.

i have no such settings
The standard ASUS P5G41-M has the AI Overclocking under Tools...
shouldn't it be in my Advanced settings?

now I understood what you meant about tools menu.
here is what is in my tools menu
