Bios Mods -The Best BIOS Update and Modification Source

Hi, I'm new to this forum, I have posted this yet a few hours ago but maybe in the wrong section, but i think this may be the right one :-)
I have a Hp envy 1188el laptop. It is a good pc except for the fact it has really inadaguate cooling: maybe for this reason hp brought down Ati 5850m stock clock (625/1000 @1.0v) to 5830 standards (500/900 @0.9v)
What i would like to be able to do is bring my gpu at least to Ati stock clock, but that's not possible with the voltage i have (it crashes sistematically if you try to bring the clock up over 550 mhz.
I have an Insyde bios, version F.1B .

Hi downclock,

Unfortunately this section is for a different mod related to Insyde BIOSes and does not refer to changing clock speed or unlocking features. I will look into this further but to my knowledge this hasn not been accomplished with an Insyde BIOS yet.
